Must See: Joe Mitchell’s Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Debate Night
DUBUQUE, IA - In last night’s Iowa PBS debate, Joe Mitchell doubled down on the policies causing high food, housing, and utilities prices, kept supporting a war that is killing Iowans and causing fuel prices to skyrocket, vowed to repeal the ACA, and had nothing to say to rural hospital leaders who are facing a $1 billion shortfall because of the One Big Beautiful Bill.
MOMENTS TO WATCH:
When asked, “You’ve called the Affordable Care Act a disaster. Would you vote to repeal it?,” Joe Mitchell said, “Yeah, I would vote to repeal it.”
When asked about his response to the rural hospital leaders sounding the alarm about the billions in rural health care cuts Mitchell backs, he had zero answers.
When asked about the War Powers Resolution in the House of Representatives, Joe Mitchell said, “I think the resolutions that have been put up most recently by Democrats have been a knee-jerk and partisan action to defy the president.” Fact check: those were bipartisan resolutions. He even told Punchbowl News that he would have voted to keep funding the war.
