Elect Democratic Women Endorses Lindsay James for Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Elect Democratic Women (EDW), the Congressional Member-led committee dedicated to electing Democratic women to Congress, announced its endorsement of Lindsay James for Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District.

“Elect Democratic Women is proud to endorse Lindsay James for Congress. Lindsay has dedicated her life to public service — from serving as a chaplain, guiding people through some of their most difficult moments, to leading in the Iowa Legislature, where she has fought tirelessly for working families. She brings empathy, integrity, and a clear sense of purpose to everything she does. Lindsay understands that leadership isn’t about making noise — it’s about listening, building common ground, and delivering real results. She has the experience, the heart, and the determination to represent Iowans with strength and compassion in Congress. We are proud to support Lindsay as she works to represent the people of Iowa in Congress,” said Congresswoman Lois Frankel, Chair of Elect Democratic Women.

“I am honored to receive the support of Elect Democratic Women,” said State Representative Lindsay James. “Whether fighting for good-paying jobs, strong public schools, and affordable health care as a state representative, or walking alongside people in their hardest moments as a chaplain, I’ve dedicated my career to putting Iowans first, and I have no intention of backing down. In Congress, I will build on that work as a steadfast advocate for Iowa families, fighting for a government that serves the people, not the powerful.”
