Dubuque, IA — August 19, 2025 — State Representative Lindsay James (D-Dubuque), a dedicated chaplain and proud Iowa mom, today announced her campaign for Congress, promising to listen and put the needs of Iowa families first. Guided by her core belief to “love your neighbor,” Lindsay is committed to fixing a broken system that favors billionaires and leaves too many Iowans behind. Throughout her life, Lindsay has worked tirelessly to listen and support her fellow neighbors through the good and bad.&nbsp; As a chaplain, she has provided support to those facing hardships. As a state lawmaker, James has focused on delivering common-sense solutions to address the urgent issues facing Iowa families — from lowering housing costs and improving public education to supporting working parents and making health care more affordable. “Every Iowan deserves a fair shot to build the life they deserve,” said James. “I will listen and be their voice in Congress, fighting to make life better for families across our district.
